Brazil runs into fierce Mexico marking
Fortaleza, June 17.  In front of 60,000 spectators (including thousands of Mexicans), the Brazil team could not overcome the fierce marking by Mexico, and had to settle for a goalless tie

After beating a good Croatia side 3-1, with great goals from Neymar and Oscar, Brazil and the rest of the world expected another victory against Mexico, but the goalless tie stunned the world. It could have been much worse for Brazil - in the 46th
minute of the second half Mexico had a golden chance to win   the match, but Júlio César pulled off a great save. Mexico marked Brazil very closely throughout the game. Oscar failed to shine, and Neymar was short of his best, while still managing to create two great scoring chances, both brilliantly defended by the outstanding goalkeeper, Ochoa. Mexico’s goalkeeper made two spectacular saves from a shot by Paulinho and a header from Thiago Silva. At the end of the game, Ochoa was named man of the match. Jô, who came on for Fred, also had a chance but shot wide. Brazil plays again on Monday, June 23, in Brasília, against Cameroon. A win by a good margin will probably guarantee the Brazil team first place in Group A.
