Brazil in the final after beating Uruguay 2-1

The Confederations Cup
Brazil in the final after beating Uruguay 2-1
The game was played on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 26, in Belo Horizonte. Paulinho scored the winning goal, 41 minutes into the second half

Brazil did not play very well.  Neymar was tightly [1] marked throughout the game. In the first half, the Uruguayans had more goal-scoring [2] chances than the Brazilians. The almost-58,000 fans at the Mineirão stadium were anxious on 15 minutes, when David Luiz committed an unnecessary foul in the penalty area.  Forlán, voted the best player in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, took the penalty, but Júlio César made an excellent save [3].  Right at the end of the first half, Brazil scored. Paulinho made a long, perfect pass to Neymar, who shot at goalkeeper Muslera, but the rebound [4]  fell to Fred, who buried it in the back of the net [5]. Soon after the start of the second half Brazil’s defense made a mistake and Uruguay tied [6] the game, through striker Cavani.  Minutes later Uruguay almost turned the tables [7]. However, after that chance Brazil improved and began to attack more intensely.  On 41 minutes in the second half, Neymar took a corner and Paulinho headed [8] in the winning goal, taking Brazil into the Confederations Cup final. The final, between Brazil and either Spain or Italy, will be played on Sunday, June 30, at 7:00 pm, at the Maracanã stadium.
